ASPECTS OF LIFE

Graphic Design

Clip Studio Paint

My body of work investigates the fundamental nature and rich experiences of being human, examining existence, familiarity, relationships and mortality. The first panel conveys the balance between chaos and calmness, a quiet acceptance of life’s dualities. The child with headphones represents serenity in the familiar and mundane. Children surrounded by paper leaves illustrate shared memories and gentle connection. My intention in the final piece was to communicate how we confront death’s gaze with reverent light: a subtle Christian message of faith and salvation. I encourage the audience to see my work as a meditation on life’s fragile, wondrous journey.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Yoneyama Mai, Shirahama Kamome, Hayao Miyazaki.
