Wood, Perspex, ink on paper, ink on vellum

My body of work is a microcosm of consumerism. It is a representation of how technology can facilitate globalisation and mass production, further emphasised through my own use of technology. The flat-pack design creates a piece which can be printed and reprinted in our urban environment, similar to assembly-line production. However, the builders may freely adapt the model as there is no clear delineation of assemblage, hence the Perspex box and potential for further prototypes. The title, Prototype 1, refers to the modular nature of postmodern society as the product can be replicated in varying contexts.

An artistic orange brushstroke design forms abstract shapes on a white background. Overlaid on the design is the word "artexpress" in a sleek, modern black font. The orange brush strokes appear dynamic and free-flowing, with splatters and tapered ends.Simplified waratah flower in deep red colour with the words NSW Government in dark blue stacked underneath.
