A series of nine colour pencil drawings. The five main drawings depict dogs, with four smaller drawings depicting items from the students life like a chewed pencil and cup noodles.

Coloured pencil

During my time at school, I encountered the charm and humour that are intrinsic to student life. My body of work represents my experiences through the conceptual medium of dogs. I worked in a photorealist style with coloured pencils to enhance the audience’s reception of my ideas. The comedic and sentimental aspects of the work express how much I value my personal experience of school. My work also invites the audience to engage with their own experiences.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: William Wegman and Christian Vieler.
