In my body of work, I have layered two works, one red and one blue, to create a sense of dichotomy. Red represents the self, and blue represents mental health struggles and their implications. My work is intended to lead viewers to empathise better with people struggling with depression and mental illness by offering a transparent expression of my personal experience with depression and ADHD.
My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the artist Stathis Tsavalias (Insane51).
