My body of work is an exploration of seaweed, celebrating its beauty and ecological value in aquatic ecosystems. It showcases seaweed's diversity in detail, texture and shape, exhibiting its often-overlooked intricacies. By layering prints of water and netting over seaweed etchings, my work emulates seaweed’s fluidity in harmony with the ocean's movement. Communicating that beyond its beauty, seaweed acts as an ecosystem engineer, vital to habitats, food and oxygen, preserving and upholding life.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Melissa Smith, Ruth Burgess, Edith Cowlishaw.
