Ink, watercolour, paper

Living near the ocean, I have seen the slow degradation of the marine environment due to pollution and anthropogenic climate change. My body of work, Aftermath, is a series of collagraphs which explores the severity of pollution in the ocean and the suffocation of the natural marine environment.

I have expressed this through the use of colour, with black and white representing the destroyed and parched land and watercolour and stitching representing the little that is still left. My intent is for my work to expose the disconcerting future of earth’s marine life and the detrimental effects of climate change
