My body of work is concerned with the nature of suffering, and the aftermath of the individual and collective traumas of everyday life. It represents Polish people, both famed and obscure, to explore the generational trauma following World War 2 and the Russian occupation of Poland, and the psychological entrapment created by trauma. My work also establishes a personal connection to my own Polish family.
