Our Volunteers are a vital and valued part of our community. Made up of people from many backgrounds and skill sets, Hazelhurst volunteers are united by a passion for the arts and a desire to give back to the community.

Volunteers

Our Volunteers are the welcoming face of Hazelhurst. They greet visitors entering the Gallery, assist in the Gallery Shop, and keep an eye on the exhibitions and foyer activities.

We are currently accepting expressions of interest for volunteers roles on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  If you are interested and available, email hazelhurst@ssc.nsw.gov.au and tell us a little bit about yourself and why you'd like to volunteer with us.

Volunteer Guides

Our Volunteer Guides lead engaging and informative tours of our major exhibitions and assist with our Education, Little Art Makers and Art Engage programs. Every two years we deliver a training program for new Volunteer Guides informed by best practice in guiding.

Young Volunteers

Our Young Volunteers program is for people aged 15 to 26. Young Volunteers work with our Learning team and assist in developing, promoting and running our public programs and events.

Work Experience

We are currently unable to offer work experience placements at Hazelhurst, but there are other great opportunities available across Sutherland Shire Council.
