Six manipulated photographs that are warped and stretched, distorting the original.

Print, matte paper, corrugated cardboard

In developing my body of work, I began by photographing simple images. However, to challenge the audience, I needed to extend the level of sophistication. After experimenting with digital manipulation, I projected a series of images individually onto corrugated cardboard and photographed them. The cardboard they were projected onto was warped to give it an element of distortion, and the images gained depth. Finally, Shutter consists of six images on a single scroll, placed side by side to flow on from each other.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by studying and interpreting the following artists and works: Isidro Blasco, Deconstructed city; Daniel Crooks, Static no. 6.
