My body of work examines the experience of a young person navigating the modern world. Traditionally, bridges symbolise routes connecting one place to another. I was attracted to the intricate architecture of bridges, particularly the underneath, held up by structural supports and beams. These complex interconnecting pathways twist and turn, creating an overarching maze that reminds me of the unpredictable and perplexing nature of the path lying ahead in life. My work conveys this through its maze-like structure and angular lines. I invite the audience to consider the giant, intimidating structures of those bridges that dwarf us.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: MC Escher, Relativity; Salvatore Gerardi, Tableau series.
