I use photography as a means to represent my perception of the world by investigating the microscopic world. I photographed the small details of things we miss in our daily lives, or things that we usually ignore, showing the beauty in the world’s minutiae. Inspired by the way artists such as Gregory Crewdson and Tim Maguire use lighting and perspective, I developed a process for taking the photographs. Each photo has a story behind it: the location, the process of how I got the photo, the weather, the surroundings. Each of these elements played a major role in how the photo came to be. I am curious about what gems lie hidden beyond human eyesight.

An artistic orange brushstroke design forms abstract shapes on a white background. Overlaid on the design is the word "artexpress" in a sleek, modern black font. The orange brush strokes appear dynamic and free-flowing, with splatters and tapered ends.Simplified waratah flower in deep red colour with the words NSW Government in dark blue stacked underneath.
