My body of work is inspired by the forces of nature, and the hardships and fragility of the Australian environment. My work represents a cycle of regeneration, where fire can assist in the germination of seeds, generating a process of renewal. The forms are inspired by nature but I have deliberately focused on creating seed pods from memory. I am not concerned with creating an exact replica of nature. My intention is to communicate that due to the impact and escalation of global warming, one day we will have to rely on our imagination to appreciate our beautiful Australian bush.
