Sonder: the realisation that each random passer-by is living a life as vivid and complex as your own

My body of work is a collection of street photography. My intention is to represent strangers in candid moments, to freeze people in reflection and stillness, framed by shadows, reflections, windows and artefacts of the urban world. The photos were taken on travels throughout the US and Australia. I invite audiences to reflect on the passers-by we overlook in the rush of urban life, and to remember that every individual carries a universe of thoughts and emotions within the sea of anonymity.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Max Sturgeon, Jun Aihara, Edward Hopper, Claude Monet.
