In the turmoil of life the most familiar is often the first to be overlooked: the home, the family, and the love and joy these spaces can provide. In my body of work, Between Here and Everywhere, I studied a domestic interior through acrylic paint, intimately representing the details of the home, and in doing so extending my own appreciation for everyday life. I ask the audience to reflect on the values of their own relationships, cherished spaces and familiar pleasures that may have gone unsung only for being quotidian.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Peter Brown, David Hettinger.
