My body of work examines the fragility of memory and the impermanence of personal and collective narratives. Intrigued by the fragmented nature of familial history, my intention was to investigate how time distorts and redefines memory. Using subdued lighting and sepia tones, my work represents nostalgia and times past, inviting contemplation on what is preserved and what inevitably fades. The process became an act of archiving and reinterpretation, questioning the authenticity of memory itself. I encourage audiences to use my work to reflect on their own identities and the erosion of intergenerational storytelling in contemporary culture.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Sophie Calle; Marcel Duchamp; Merlinda Bobis, This is where it begins [poem].
