My body of work examines the idea of colonialism by using modern British colours (blue and white) in representing the story of my life. My intention was to allow the audience to see the impact of colonisation on Indigenous cultures. I chose to include cultural symbols from old stories that have been passed down through generations and are still practised to this day. My work conveys three individual stories with one major story that links them.

My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Tjapaltjarri Dreaming, Yuelamu honey ant Dreaming; Emily Kame Kngwarreye, Alhalkere.
