My body of work is a collection of cyanotype collages, intertwined with stitching, that represents the experience of a child’s quiet, private moments. My intention in this work was to investigate the ephemeral beauty as well as the vulnerability and fragility of childhood. Implicit in these images is the invasive presence of the camera, watching and recording. This contrasts starkly with the child’s complete lack of awareness of being watched.
My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the artist Lluis Estopinan.
