In a world that often feels unbearably heavy, we find transient escapes in the things we love. Whether through imagination, music or fleeting moments of joy, these small retreats offer a brief but necessary departure from the harshness of reality. Yet, the relief is always temporary, a momentary suspension of the inevitable return to life’s challenges. My body of work represents the bittersweet cycle of seeking comfort in the ephemeral, conveying how these brief escapes, though precious, are never enough to fully shield us from the world’s weight.
My artmaking practice has been influenced by the study and interpretation of the following artists: Miho Hirano, John Singer Sargent, Dall E, Slawek Fedorczuk, Wlop (Wang Ling), Faestock (Jessica Truscott), Bestdaimt, Yohei Furue.
