Trina Collins is a public artist, graphic designer and art tutor who exhibits as Poncho Army. She was commissioned by Hazelhurst to create two murals, one in the Gardens, and one in the Hazelhurst Café.
Basing her design on the history of the original owners, Ben and Hazel Broadhurst, Trina has affectionately named the mural Ben & Hazel.
"The pair are represented by Hummingbirds, a nectar eating species of bird that loves the local Gymea Lily shown in the cafe mural. Ben and Hazel had a love of nature and astrology, both of these loves are key components of this mural, with the bush forest and night star and moon sky."
