Rob Howe is a painter based in Bulli on the NSW South Coast. His practice is grounded in close observation of everyday life, encompassing landscape, interiors, still life and portraiture. Through drawing and painting, he explores attention, time and the changing qualities of light and place.

Rob has exhibited widely throughout Australia, including solo exhibitions at Wollongong Art Gallery, Sophie Gannon Gallery, Hugo Michell Gallery and The Egg and Dart. He holds a Master of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong and has been the recipient of numerous awards and residencies, including the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens Residency and the Gang Gang Residency.

In his teaching, Rob encourages students to develop their observational skills, confidence and individual visual language through a supportive and engaging studio environment.

Rob teaches painting classes at Hazelhurst Arts Centre.
