Christopher Nielsen is an award-winning Australian author/illustrator specializing in bringing joy and wonder to children through his art and storytelling. His illustration is inspired by a deep passion for mid-century culture and design.
Christopher’s first picture book was shortlisted for the CBCA Crichton award for best new illustrator in 2018. Since then, he has continued to create award winning picture books, middle grade, YA and non-fiction.
His clients include Disney/Pixar, Walker Books, Little Hare Publishing, Allen & Unwin, Harper Collins, Penguin Random House and Taronga Zoo.
Christopher teaches illustration, digital illustration and visual storytelling to all age at Hazelhurst Arts Centre and also delivers our educations programs to visiting schools.
