After the death of the Pope, Cardinal Thomas Lawrence (Fiennes) organises a conclave to elect the successor. In doing so he must investigate secrets and scandals about the major candidates, and he finds himself at the centre of a web of conspiracies and intrigue that could shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church.
Winner of awards including the Academy Award for Best Screenplay.
