A stop-motion animation film by Australian Adam Elliot (Mary and Max) - which was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars in 2025. Grace Pudel, a lonely and melancholic woman who finds solace in collecting snail-related items. Grace's life is marked by tragedy and misfortune, after the death of her mother from childbirth, the separation from her twin brother Gilbert, and the loss of her father. Grace hoards snails and snail paraphernalia; this is a coping mechanism for her grief and loneliness, as she retreats from the world. The film blends dark humour with profound emotions, exploring themes of trauma, resilience, and the search for connection.
