Australian writer Charmian Clift’s career was overshadowed by that of her husband writer George Johnson. Their lives on the island of Hydra have become legendary not least by their association with a young Leonard Cohen. In the documentary about Clift, the narrator is actress Marta Dusseldorp who reads excerpts from Clift's own writings, effectively giving the film a strong first-person perspective.
